Practising Spirit at work

[In the beginning it will take time and effort and yet as practice sets in each stage will come more naturally.]

The following headings require of you to add the content; a skeleton, which you must enflesh; a framework, on which you will hang your own pictures of practice.

1.     peeling away the layers –an onion has a number of skins until the core is reached. Entering your closest encounter with God means stripping off the layers until the outside gives way to the interior.
2.     contemplating the majesty and mercy of Love Divine through the golden triangle of spiritual formation: faithful acceptance of everyday problems: interacting with God's Spirit : and, practising spiritual disciplines - solitude and silence; study with service; fasting and worship.
3.    developing God likeness through:
Habituation: Cultivating God making the Christ self at home, dwelling in me and among us..
With-
Absorption: developing in his embrace and the enveloping sea of spirit- a drowning in his mercy, grace and love the art of Resurrection living
A practical means is to use a journal.  Get a simple exercise book and a pen for purpose. After a time of straight practice outlined above, take up the pen and write in your journal what is running through the mind. If you keep your journal to yourself (i.e. not make it available to others), you can write all you feel and see and think until it feels like the pen is wobbling with tiredness. Try not to stop too soon because our minds struggle with pain and excitement and often want to close down too soon.
After a week of writing (don’t fuss about spelling –it’s only you and God !) , use the seventh day to read and reflect on the inner voice with which you are in dialogue.
If you wake and remember a dream enter it in your journal. Bible saints had inspiration from God in this way too.
GO TO WORK WITH JESUS. HE KNOWS WHAT IT TAKES
